Our Teachers

Our Teachers are qualified experienced Arabic-speaking male and female teachers dedicated to educating our Muslim community about the knowledge of the Holy Quran. They meet on one goal; to enable students to master Quran recitation and memorisation gaining enjoyment and confidence in reciting Quran.

 

Some of our teachers have already Ijazah in one or more narrations of recitation while the others are working towards that while teaching students to achieve the same goal. The knowledge of Tajweed is mandatory for our teachers who are also trained to teach students ‘Al Qaidah An-Noraniah’ rules which enables them to correctly recite the Arabic text of the Holy Quran including the pronunciation of the Arabic alphabets and how they are connected.

 

The school also provides a comprehensive and relevant on-the-job training programme for all the teachers which is put into practice to further develop teacher’s confidence and capabilities. The training programme covers a wide range of academic and pedagogical issues including academic conduct and assessment and feedback. This is consolidated with peer observation and feedback system that allows self-development and quality improvement. In addition, we listen to students/parents and we value their feedback.

 

One of the unique features of our school is the diversity of the teaching workforce. While offering part of their time to teach and spread the love of Quran, our teachers have different main professions. These include university professors, medical, dental, psychiatry and pharmaceutical consultants, SME directors and engineering consultants. In fact, many of our teachers hold a PhD degree. This variety brings experiences from different fields to the school and gives a good image to the children that the Quran holders are usually successful.
